Founded in 1963 by Salvador Araneta, Jose Concepcion Jr., Ma. Victoria Concepcion, BJ Server, Pete Grimm, Albino Sycip, Zoilo Alberto, Leonardo Eugenio and Francisco Gamboa Sr., as a Division of RFM Corporation.  After setting up the first flourmill in the country, RFM established the Agri-Business Division, first thru the establishment of a 10-ton feedmill in its Pioneer compound in Mandaluyong, Metro Manila and 5 years later, the poulry operations commenced with the signing of an exclusive franchise agreement with Peterson Industries and H&N Layers of the USA to breed day-old-chicks in the Philippines.

The ensuing years saw the expansion of the agri-business operations into a fully integrated set-up from Grandparent and Parent stock operations to hatchery to broiler growing and dressing operations.  In pursuit of its objectives to make fresh poultry meat available to as many consumers as possible and to contribute to the growth of the countryside, an expansion program was undertaken in 1987, involving the establishment of integrated branch operations in strategic locations all over the country.  This elevated the company to a position of leadership in the Philippine poultry industry.

In June 1994, the Agri-Business and Meat Divisions of RFM were spun off to form what is now Swift Foods, Inc.  In 2002, the Meat Division was transferred back to RFM Corporation making Swift a company that is focused on the production and sale of poultry products.

The years 1995-2005 were dark years for the company, weighed down by an ambition driven industry, an external environment beset by political turmoil and haunted by the risk of avian influenza (bird-flu).  Internally, management lost focus, with our energies diverted to constant rationalization, defensiveness and reactive strategies.  We slid from a leadership position to a distant third player.

It was in our most difficult times when we looked internally at ourselves and realized how detached we had become.  Our founders had a vision of giving life to the world.  God was calling us to bear fruit, fruit that lasts.

Today, we embrace a vision to live our life as LIFE-GIVERS.  A mission to Feed The World.  Our fidelity towards living our vision - Feeds The World.

As LIFE-GIVERS we Feed The World.
